Black shoes, black tights?

I've two shoe options. One is more like a closed toe sandal and the other is a proper shoe. Dress is black and green.
Whats the prevailing tight colour these days?
Black with the shoes, nude with the sandals type? Or always black if footwear is black and dress is dark too? (I don't have any to try, before you ask so need to decide what to buy.)

I hate wearing tights, my feet are freezing and sweaty at the same time. If I wear boots, I wear leggings and socks. Is there a decent "natural" type of tights that won't feel awful and smell?

Really hard to say without knowing what the dress and shoes look like.
If it's a long, casual, Toast-y look then interesting socks might work instead - not everyone's cup of tea though I know. Or what about wool or cotton based tights if you don't like the regular kind?

What sort of dress, what's the
Occasion?

Depending on length of dress, stockings can be practical. They are not just sex wear.
Another thread today mentions socks becoming fashionable with short skirts and shoes. I like warmer legs so not for me when there is an R in the month.

To wear all day and some standing around I would go for the closed heel shoes.
If dress is dark and below the knee I would wear dark 10 or15 den stockings or tights.

Agree with the 10/15D black tights option.
I'd wear fine trainer socks under them for comfort and to avoid snagging. Should been ok with those shoes as quite high cut.
