Help! cant find the dress of my imagination

Never posted on style and beauty before but have always been impressed by the suggestions on other peoples threads.

I am looking for a cocktail/mini dress for a winter party, and want to look great.
I would love to wear something with a bit of glitter/sequins in green, blue or silver colours, even peacock type shades. I am 10-12, about 5ft1, fairly slim waist but busty. Ideally any dress would have at least elbow length or long sleeves and a v neck, but preferably not a wrap dress as they tend to gape on me.

I absolutely love this from another thread but the high neckline would not work well for me - if anyone could find me a v neck version or suggest something similar?

Buy the dress you love and have a dressmaker alter the shape of the neckline. A round neck to a v neck is easy for someone trained. It'll cost you, but as a dress it's, what, 90% perfect? Seems an easy fix to me.

Was going to say the same thing. However, I am not sure that this dress would look so nice with a v neck. It may look as if a piece of fabric is missing.

However, you could look at a boat neck or scoop neckline as both work well with larger breasts.

The problem with altering a neckline from round to V is that the result can look dowdy if the back doesn’t really work with a V neck. If the back of the neck is rounded the dress can look very odd and unflattering.

So it might, annoyingly, be better just to find a different dress!

Collectif is my go to for party dresses and I love this. Most of the styles are really good for bigger boobs too.

I got a gorgeous blue velvet short dress, long sleeve (with structured shoulders) last year and it was gorgeous. They don't have it this year, but this is nice?

Some amazing suggestions here, thanks to everyone who replied. Also some great websites Ive never looked at. I did think of buying the initial dress and seeing if it could be altered but thought it might be a bit unpredictable with the sequins and flat structure of the top. Plus I'm not in the UK so have to pay import tax on it, even if I send it back, so I should probably to limit my 'just to try it on' purchases.

I think the Lulus dress from Somethingweird might be closest to my idea - but love the Pretty Kitty one from OhBeAFineGuy and need to have a good look on the Scamp and Dude website, love the starry dress.

Personally as far as I can see, wrt Phase8, the majority of their clothing is almost all ~100% polyester at hugely inflated prices 😔

The short teal Carissa dress is absolutely beautiful!

All those 3 seem to be expensive recycled polyester, and some of them also recycled sequins which I guess is something.

The wrap Phase Eight dress is lovely!

My DD is the same size as you and has a phase 8 petite dress and it is nicely in proportion. I love the teal wrap dress and the bronze jumpsuit.
