Botox stops me frowning but how will it remove my ‘1’ crease?

I have a ‘1’ crease which started developing while I was in my teens. I’m 44 now and it’s always got me down. It’s there even when my face is at rest and I just hate it in photos.

I had Botox a few days ago and already I am feeling sort of numb in that area and I can see that when I try to frown, it’s a lot more difficult to do so than it was.

But I’m not really worried about any mobile lines, I was told that the Botox would smooth the static 1 crease but it is still there, same as it was.

How will it do that? Do I just need to give it time?

You’re only a couple of days in. Give it 2 weeks to see the full effect and you should have been offered a top-up appointment at that time, to tweak the placement.

That being said, I have exactly the same issue. Had a vertical indent for many many years and I hated it. Been having Botox every 10-12 weeks for about 18 months now, and the line is still there. Granted, it’s a huge improvement but it’s still noticeable to me. Even if I stretch the skin apart across my forehead, the indent is still visible. I think it’s just too deep a line for botox to completely fix, and will probably need filler to completely remove it.

I had a really deep crease between my eyes. Starred botox in Jan and its improved it massively. Its still there, but not the deep crevice it was!
You should definitely see a difference after 2 weeks.

It takes two weeks to take full affect so give it time. As pp said you should have a review in two weeks and my need a top up (completely normal).

what toxin did they use? Was it actual Botox or Bocoture etc?

Sorry for the typing mistakes I’m in bed super unwell so hope it makes sense!

Thanks all, yes it was actual Botox and I do have an appointment scheduled. Hopefully it’ll just take time then!

Yes probably that. I had one as well, but it wasn't a wrinkle caused by frowning, it wa a permanent indent. Filler fixed it, has been almost 5 years and it hasn't come back.
