All I want is a nice bag with a zip!!

So I've decided to treat myself to a new work bag. I don't mind spending a bit - so £200ish (but not heading into Mulberry territory). But I can't find a 'nice' bag with a full zip! Is it just that most people who buy more expensive bags don't have to worry about pickpockets on the tube/everything falling out?!?

I'm tending towards Radley/Osprey - but are they worth the money??

My ideal bag would be dark brown leather, fairly roomy, which closes properly and - my holy grail - has a pocket on the outside too for my travel pass.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd be hugely grateful!!

I’ve just got a Paris64 bag and it’s the most beautiful bag I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had Mulberry, LV, Chloe etc

This one has a zip but no outside pocket, and is a bit above your price range but still far far cheaper and much better quality than Mulberry and the like.

It fits my laptop etc. and the centre pocket zips up. There's also a pocket for my travel card/work pass and the leather is good quality. It's roomy but not as giant as the picture makes it look.

Ooh @Summering23 - that one has an outside pocket! Maybe I should think black too...

I am also on a similar quest OP, but with a slightly lower budget. Every bag I like is either too big or has no zip, it is so annoying.

I agree I just bought a Loewe bag that I love but it was no zip and is way more open than I expected so I will be returning it

Try Coach - they invariably have a zip on the back side and do lots in brown

I have three coach bags, they last really well and all mine have zips

@weatherwax I used to love looking at the Mia Tui bags but they have lost their way - some of the patterned fabrics are awful, so dated. They look like they are from a market stall.

Try Coach. I always get nice 'zip' bags from there. Should be something in your price range.

I've just bought this one from FatFace. It holds my laptop, notebook, pens, has pockets on the outside and can either be worn cross body or as a backpack - bloody brilliant!
