There used to be the famous MN self haircut but is there one for just the fringe?

I have a sort of jaw-length layered bob with a side fringe - in an effort to save money can someone tell me how to shorten my too long fringe. I know from my youth that a straight along cut is not the way!

Just cut it a lot longer than you think. Remember you can always cut it shorter but you can’t cut it longer!

Before you do it think hard. It takes a long time for a fringe to grow out
