Wide leg trousers / white trainers

What length are they supposed to be? I keep seeing people with them about 2/3cm off the floor which to me just looks like the trousers are too short!

Also can white trainers be worn any more or is that a complete “two years ago look”?

Other than trainers what autumn / winter shoes can be worn with wide legs?

I’m wearing full length (hate cropped, just makes me more short, fat and frumpy) and white trainers in this exact moment. I like the combo and frankly don’t give a shit

Mine rest on the top of my foot with about 2cm “fold” if that makes sense. I always have to shorten trousers and this is the length I go for. I’d say darker trainers with wide legs for winter - I’ve got Adidas Court platform in all black which look great and v comfy

I’m wearing wide legs and white trainers. I’d like some other options for winter, so following with interest.

Loafers! I've got some platform ones.

I'm wearing white trainers to work everyday - with all trousers - long (ankle) length, slim fit (slightly above ankle) and short length (2/3rd below knee) + skirts/dresses. Looks smart and so comfy I don't care how outdated (or not) it looks. At last women can be as comfortable as men at work. Never going back to uncomfortable shoes for fashion.

I hate all trousers that look like they stop short. Wide legs should definitely be over and touching the front of the shoe, not flapping about at sock level

I have black veja trainers for autumn and Chelsea boots for winter.

Chunky loafers
Dark trainers eg new balance

DMs.especially the ones with extra thick soles are a good option.

Thanks so much ladies! I will stick with longer lengths for the wide leg trousers as any shorter shortens me for some reason.

Glad to see I’m not the only still liking white trainers but I will definitely look at some black trainers or loafers as the weather cools. I did find some brogues at the back of the wardrobe but they didn’t really go for some reason.

I will try some dm style boots when it gets cold. Thanks again, some really helpful ideas
