Thick white top, smarter than a t shirt!

I think I'm looking for something that doesn't exist - I have quite a few smart jackets/cardigans and I want a white top to wear underneath. Don't want a t shirt. Don't want a dollar. Ideally a 'shell' type short sleeved smarter fabric top but all the ones I try are totally see through! Any ideas
Whilst I'm on it, why is Breton type fabric only available in Breton stripes. That in a plain white would look smarter than a thin cotton t shirt!

It's basically a thick long sleeved tshirt.

Hobbs have a few options which might work? Quality is normally good although not always natural fibres!

I got a brilliant white v neck shell top in Asda in the summer. Sleeveless though.
Shein has a lot if you aren't offended by Shein!

Thank you! The Hobbs ones look great but possibly a bit clingy (I carry weight around middle so would like something to skim). But could size up. Will check out asda/shein too.

Cos is always thick fabric if its cotton. Always superb quality.

This brand are generally quite thick. 93% cotton. Wash well. I have a couple for work.

I think some of the other thicker scoop or straight neck thicker long sleeve t shirts suggested will also be good for under cardigans so will order a couple to try. Thanks everyone!
