Where are the chocolate brown jumpers?

This is driving me mad! I just want a chocolate brown v neck jumper. In cashmere or regular wool, I’m flexible but where the hell are they? Recently, I thought I’d finally struck gold with The White Company but I didn’t like the quality or fit but as they're so rare, I almost kept it anyway. Why are they so rare? I’ve been looking for years!

Anyway, as you folks often seem like some kind of wizards, I just wondered if you’d seen any or, if there really aren’t any, you had any thoughts why they just don’t exist.

I think it's very hard to find anything in regular wool these days. Everything is a nasty acrylic. But HoB has a lot in various colours.

Had a quick look and haven’t seen exactly what you want, yet. Someone will probably find one today, but if not, American Vintage is worth keeping an eye on as they have an ever changing range of great colours. (Though fabric mix always needs checking.)

No chocolate brown V necks currently, but Babaa is also worth keeping an eye on. You might even find something you prefer to your fantasy jumper.

I'm sure the main reason is that Chocolate Brown hasn't been an on-trend colour for years. Brown was just starting to creep in last year & there's lots arriving at the moment. So I'm sure you will find one this year.
Brown really suits me as a soft Autumn, with blonde hair. So I'm another one looking forward to more of this colour.

KIN at John Lewis last year had some lovely ones. No help now of course but you might find on Vinted?

If you want less fitted, get a men's jumper, they are usually better quality and cheaper.

This would be perfect, the platonic ideal of what I want…if not for that stupid split at the side. The amount of tops I’ve returned because I didn’t notice them when buying them. Don’t understand why they exist on tops, I think they tend to make everyone look fatter than they are.

Not in a v neck, alas. I have massive boobs, crew neck jumpers don’t flatter them.

Another vote for Uniqlo. I also tend to buy from their men’s selection. They have lighter browns in cashmere and lambs wool but chocolate brown merino. I’m a huge fan of Uniqlo merino.

Oh gosh! That's so weird that they make chocolate brown in crew neck but not v-neck. The hunt continues!

I searched for brown v necks in wool, cashmere, merino and there’s quite a few. Not sure of your size obvs but worth taking a look?

I love choc brown clothes. Also big boobed. Just to suggest expanding your search into scoop neck may help. Gap used to be good but it a difficult colour to find lately

I really like the Woolovers cashmere and merino crew neck jumpers. I couldn't spot any brown ones in the current range but they do always have a big selection of colours.

I would also wear a deep scooped neck, yes. In fact, those are preferable to a very high v neck, which I think can sometimes look a bit school uniform. Although I would still be interested in them in a chocolate brown.

Thanks, I did end up buying a brown merino v neck from them last year, although I had to buy it from the men’s section, because again, they don’t do them in women’s, grrr.

To be honest, I kept it and I wear it but I don’t love the fit. I suspect it being designed for men matters a bit more than I thought, because it feels quite boxy and the v is quite high.

It’s why my search continues!

I don’t know if you’d count this as chocolate, it’s called “rum raisin” and has a reddish tinge but a nice colour.
