as im decorating our and need some ideas

Good bedlinen and lots of muted lighting...

Cupboards that can hold everything and are husband proof!!

came on here and realised Hanaflower has summer up my dream bedroom perfectly

Except for the carpet. Whitewahsed floor boards for me please, with rugs in green though....

oh and a lock on the door....

Interconnected with another one where Dh could sleep

en suite loo, lock on door, big bath in room,really luxurious plain white bedlinen,music, lilies Also snapping out of dream here too

i just don't know where to start, we need everything flooring curtains light fittings new bed new furniture.

don't even know what colour i fancy.

good tip about another room for dh though! lewast his snoring can't bug me then

Why not choose your main most costly purchase, ie your bed, and then work from that as a starting point.
Decide if you want a divan and headboard or a bedframe type bed in eg wood. Use the style of the bed as your starting point.
Curtains, bedlinen, lighting even flooring can be chosen to go with the bed.
Get some glssy mags such as Living and Elle Deco/Homes and Gardens for inspiration, or borrow some deco books from your library.
