Can you recommend me a hair dryer please

I am on a journey to care for my hair. I see a huge difference in the health and look of my hair already. I limit heat on my hair.

Going forward into the winter I will need a hairdryer to help me dry my hair for my mid week hair wash day because I don't have hours to wait til it air drys.

I am looking for a hair dryer that will help me care for my hair.

I would ideally need to get different heat settings lie a cold setting, a low heat setting, medium heat setting, high heat setting. It will likely be used on low heat.

I will need different speed settings too. I would like a low speed too.

I don't have the funds for Dyson.

Can anyone recommend me ahir dryer please and thanks.

Parlux, prefer it to a Dyson

Chooba · 19/09/2023 16:25

Another vote for Parlux!

Plump82 · 19/09/2023 16:27

Parlux here as well.

I just bought the shark version of the Dyson multi styler and oh my gosh! It’s fantastic!

Toomanydishes · 19/09/2023 17:49

If you have thick hair, get a Diva hairdryer! Cut hair drying in half for me.

I have fine hair.

I saw the shark styler and I must admit I would tempted by it but I don't think I will get a shark.

I think what I am looking for is a regular hair dryer.

I think the GHD air dryer is good. Not as good as the dyson mind you. I have v fine hair

AlexandraJJ · 19/09/2023 19:30

Cloud nine user here for 4 years. No complaints

minipeony · 19/09/2023 20:40

Ghd

LastHives · 19/09/2023 20:45

Parlux.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 19/09/2023 20:56

Parlux

I picked one up out of Lidl and absolutely love it. Was around £15. Been using it for around 18 months now.

Babyliss is a good brand, and a bit more reasonably priced. If I had to buy a new one now, I think that's what I would go for. I use a diffuser quite a bit, so would look for a dryer that came with one.
I think just about all dryers have different settings, even cheaper ones. The one I have now I think is a Revlon that I've had for ages, and was a drug store purchase. It does it's job and isn't too heavy. Some of the more expensive ones have heavier motors , so tough on your arms if you have a lot of hair.

hilbil21 · 19/09/2023 21:15

Hairdresser friend recommends Parlux. I'm about to buy one actually.

Mintearo7 · 19/09/2023 21:18

Parlux, not v cheap but so robust, well made and great hairdryer.

Cropcycle · 19/09/2023 22:06

I asked my hairdresser last week. They use the Dyson in the salon but that’s out my budget. He recommended the Shark (which is also out of my budget) and the GHD. I also have fine hair (but also thin).

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/09/2023 22:09

Parlux here too. My hairdresser used the Dyson on me last year as another stylist has brought one in - he actually said he prefers the Parlux (which I already had).

HappiDaze · 19/09/2023 22:36

I have long fine hair and a standard Babyliss hairdryer is more than adequate

zeddybrek · 19/09/2023 22:38

Parlux

Princessfluffy · 20/09/2023 20:59

Parlux
Cuts drying time in half

NeverDropYourMooncup · 20/09/2023 21:02

Yet another Parlux fan. They're lightweight but feel solidly made, have a long cable, dry really quickly and don't destroy my hair. And it's so quiet, even without the extra noise suppressor you can buy, compared to my old hairdryer.

MonikerBing · 20/09/2023 21:24

my hairdresser recommended the Parlux 3000, so I just ordered one. (Also can't afford the Dyson, but she said she rates this over the Dyson).

Nat6999 · 20/09/2023 21:51

I've got the metallic hot pink Diva dryer, I'm on my second one & it's the best one I've ever had, my old one is still going, ds has it now.

RhymesWithTangerine · 20/09/2023 21:54

I have a Diva Veloce and I love it.

They are well recommended by professional hairdressers
