Anything worth bringing back?

Know they have a big Sephora and several drug store type chemists.

Any suggestions gratefully received 😀

If you find a Shoppers Drug Mart, they usually have a large cosmetics department. One Canadian brand I usually buy is Marcelle. I've used their Sheer Tint Moisturizer for years., also their eyeshadow crayons are very similar to Charlotte Tilbury or Bobbi Brown. They are a drug store brand, so I'm sure very similar to No.7 or similar. I don't think Sephora carries it.

I tend to get a bit overwhelmed in Sephora, so perhaps I'm not your best source! I think most brands they carry are international.

From what I hear, you cannot get Crest White strips in the UK, so maybe stock up on those.

Also, if your hotel has a spa, go in and check out which line of skin products they use; often it will be Canadian.

Massive tubs of paracetamol (acetaminophen)

Different flavours of Burts Bees lip balm. The greatest ever.

Not beauty but I always bring back ranch dressing powder, peanut butter chips, bleached cake flour (illegal in EU), ziploc bags.

Melatonin, you'll need it for when you get home :) I can't think of any style/beauty products that aren't better in the U.K. (or more choice)

I am going to Toronto next month - so following with interest. Any suggestions for what to take there?

Cargo make up is really good.

Shopgirl1 · 19/09/2023 07:03

Not sure about beauty. But lululemon clothing is considerably cheaper there.

I second buying paracetamol and melatonin. You get get both in large packs, off the shelf. I buy both every time I go to Toronto.

Thanks all!

Did wonder if it was worth looking for the Crest White Strips. Bought them once before in the US.

Have tried Melatonin for sleep issues, got them off a US website once and didn’t think it worked but may give it another go.

Keep them coming 😀

My DP buys a massive tub of Tylenol every time he goes back to Canada. He swears they’re better than our paracetamol (and although it’s clearly a placebo effect, i tbh k he might be right).

I much prefer the drugstore experience to the fancy counter shop experience. Just follow your nose and see what bright shiny things call to you!

Many years ago I dashed into a drugstore in the USA to quickly grab a nail polish. I chose one from the Milani brand and it became my all time, lifelong favourite 😊

Needless to say I never found it again.

Clothes/accessories rather than beauty but I always like going to Roots when I'm in Canada. There's a decent sized one in the Eaton Center. I have a beautiful brown leather backpack that I got from there that is incredible quality and just gets better with age.

Thanks again everyone.

Peanut Butter Chips will definitely be on my list to look out for!

I’ll report back with my finds x
