Help me sort out my eyebrows please!

I’ve recently turned 40 and my eyebrows have been a constant struggle.

I lean towards natural and low-maintenance beauty. But since getting a shock after repeatedly catching myself in the mirror and wondering who was staring back at me, I’ve been taking it a bit more seriously.

I had thick eyebrows as a kid (or so I thought back then, now I look back on pics and think I just had beautiful natural brows that would look amazing with a simple tidy up!) but naturally, I fell for the 90s over-plucking disaster era 🙄

I have no idea what shape might suit my face or how to start looking.

I’ve seen numerous beauticians but they have either not seemed that confident in their suggestions or give me so many options that I’m back to where I started, overwhelmed and unsure what to do. I feel like I need someone to confidently guide me as I’ve literally had decades of being clueless on this!

I have some sparse areas top/middle which give them a straight-ish/wave shape and I hate it.

Would microblading help give them a more natural arch?

I’m also off on holidays in 2 weeks, would I wait until after hols to tackle this?

It’s really starting to affect my confidence and I don’t like looking in the mirror much at the moment.

Thank you

I am terrble at explaining, i get a bit excited with new brows! The picture below will show what someone would do to get rid of the S. you would then eat into the top arch line which is terrible for regrowth and never keeps its shape after and ends up rounding. So much more would be removed and they'd be quite a bit thinner which i dont think you need at all. the smallest bit of brow pencil / tinting could fill in the sparser areas under the top line in the first picture i showed you (the way i would thread) you're iucky to have such full brows and they're dark so most tints left on long enough end up close to black. Microblading would be a waste on such a small area. If you're in south east london, message me id be happy to do them!!

@Babygirl888 you have given me such great advice I am eternally grateful and I can fully see what you’re saying here with the outlines. I wish someone had done that before it makes so much sense now! I wish I was close to where you are would definitely be popping over to get them done with you! If I find myself heading down there in future I might well give you a buzz, you really know your stuff! Thank you 🙏🏽

So grateful for all the lovely comments and great advice on this thread. Thank you all so much for contributing. I started the day feeling very down on myself avoiding the mirror but I now feel a bit of appreciation for what I’ve got.

I’ll also be looking into the recommended products and maybe they’ll help that little a gap come in, in the meantime I might give tinting a little go too because there’s literally nothing to lose there!

thank you again x

Outlining is everything! Im fully self taught and used to use a biro in my teens map peoples brows 😂 Shame you're not close enough, they'd actually be a dream to work on. Most brows i think 'oh god theres not much to work with' but these actually would make me excited to transform as theres such a good base there. Please find someone good and be super clear - even draw lines with a brow pencil to show them what you want and let us know how you get on x
