Petite wide leg trousers?

I'm 5ft 3 and size 14. I'm looking for some wide leg trousers to wear with a tshirt tucked in and chunky sandals, or with a sweatshirt and cool trainers.

I want them to be wide leg and slouchy but not too wide so they look huge! Ideally with elastic waist but not too fussed.

Has anyone bought anything recently that fits the bill?

Asos sell a good range of petite trousers from different brands so could be worth a try?

I have some from H&M but they don't fit right, I think they are meant to be cropped trousers as they come up too short even on my height 😂and look a bit weird and 'flicky'!

So I'm hoping there might be some tried and tested recommendations from those who have found the perfect pair!

M and S side stripe wide leg. I have the app and it won’t let me forward the page. They have a jogger waist but are super nice - I wear to work with a blazer.

Generally find their 14 Short is just right for me in a variety of trouser styles though, almost all my trousers and jeans have been M&S for a few years now.

Boden have petite options on their wide leg trousers. ASOS has been mentioned. Good luck. The struggle goes on!

I’ve just bought these ones from M&S and I’m really pleased with them. I’m 5’2” and needed extra short now that M&S have changed their leg lengths. They’re a teeny bit too short so you might want the petite/short length.

The quality seems really good, especially for the price.

The m&s side stripe ones in heavy jersey come in Short and have been very, very popular and successful, so they now do them in many colourways.

They're comfortable, drape nicely and look good. I'm 5'2 and the Short is great.

Do they have pockets?

The ones I linked don't have pockets but their side stripe ones do.

Also came to recommend these - same height and I have the short but now find them a little too short so I've bought the regular (not sure if they've shrunk in the wash or if I've just taken some time to adjust to the look of wider trousers). They're a little too long but just about okay with trainers.

I just collected an online order of a few M&S petite wide leg trousers, and they're all going back. The length and everything was perfect and the trousers lovely, but it looks like they haven't scaled down the leg width to suit shorter legs. They looked like clown trousers on me 😕 skinny jeans it is then!
