Patent Dr Martens- DEAR LORD THE CREAKING!

I’ve just got them. They are so creaky and squeaky I just don’t think I’m going to be able to wear them. Do I return or is there a fix?

I love DMs, I have over 12 pairs.

I never wear my patent ones for this reason. Plus they're so rigid compared to the soft leather versions and take ages to break in!

Has nobody ever managed this? I love them! Don’t mind breaking them in if the creaking will stop eventually
