A while back, we were at hotel breakfast and the most breathtaking perfect family were sat nearby. They were Danish, I think.

The mother was just so edgy and elegant and she had her hair scraped back, dark glasses, white asymmetric dress. And her jewellery was just awesome and had two chunky gold bracelets on can't really remember them they were simple and big, one almost a cuff. My birthday is coming up soon and DP has said yes.

Any recommended jewellers designer? I so wish I had just asked her.

Pilgrim do great stuff

I’d try Etsy first. Otherwise, Monica Vinader, Missoma, Astrid & Miyu.

@banivani I know Georg Jenson well! Sadly, i am looking to unearth less famous designers and chunkier style

@banivani yes that kind of look but with smoother edges.

@MinnieMouse0 AND @Sparkletastic thank you shall check them out

Budget is quite good.

My Danish friends love Rebekka Notkin. I know she is not cheap but the pieces feel satisfyingly heavy when you hold them! https://rebekkanotkin.com/jewellery-index/

Another designer they rate is Monies but I think this is more for semi precious stone jewellery.

Tilly Sveaas does some really chunky bracelets, worth a look?

mm47 · 09/09/2023 19:02

if you do come across anything that is reminiscent of what you saw on holiday, please do post it, I’d be curious to see (plus enjoy looking at jewellery!)

I like Alison Moore, especially her Storybook collection.

George Jenson. Danish
Designer I think . I bought a silver cuff bracelet

StartupRepair · 09/09/2023 22:12

I love Kalevala, Finnish jewellery. Not sure if they do a cuff but worth a look.

PostOpOp · 10/09/2023 06:54

I was coming to suggest Lapponia but just discovered it's now Kalevala. It used to have a some of the most beautiful pieces. It also had independent jewellery makers designing for them. So if you've still not found anything, you could do a deep dive and find someone who designed for them previously and get something custom.

PostOpOp · 10/09/2023 07:34

Ok having looked at the website it's NOTHING like Lapponia used to be. Seems like Lapponia has basically disappeared, which is a shame!

This is an inspiring thread about a complete wardrobe revamp. There are some statement bangles and interesting jewellery designers mentioned along the way. It's a few years ago, but it made it into Classics.

I was going to suggest Pilgrim.
