Going to Florida soon and would like to treat myself - I heard Juicy tracksuits are cheaper there and apparently Marc Jacob products - anything else?

well if you want a Juicy tracksuit...

Gap/old navy/banana republic stuff is often cheaper, also Abercrombie.

There are some outlet malls in FL too but seem to rememebr them being mostly sportswear

RubySlippers · 03/03/2008 15:40

GAP stuff

Make up - Stila, Clinique etc

winestein · 03/03/2008 15:40

Virtually everything is cheaper. Don't forget all prices are exclusive of sales tax though (about 6% when I was there)

I had a whale of a time in Gap and Old Navy -there is a Gap Outlet in Jacksonville and it was just ridiculously cheap.

winestein · 03/03/2008 15:41

The most ridiculous thing is that you can buy Boots No7 makeup in some stores over there - cheaper than you can buy it here

winestein · 03/03/2008 15:43

Don't buy any electricals though, will you?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 03/03/2008 15:43

Benefit make up!

MrsBadger · 03/03/2008 15:44

oh and Bliss products

boomie · 03/03/2008 15:46

Definitely Benefit makeup.

winestein · 03/03/2008 15:49

Oh dear. Why am I getting the feeling I should have looked for some Benefit makeup.

Trix11 · 03/03/2008 16:15

hanaflower you can buy Carmex here, just as cheap

winestein · 03/03/2008 16:28

I wouldn't buy electrics SpacePuppy - all american electrics run on 12 volts (or whatever it is) and would go BANG! over here. I bought a camera but that is different.

SpacePuppy · 03/03/2008 16:29

laptop chargers are available in the UK, I wouldn't buy a microwave.

winestein · 03/03/2008 16:34

It's nothing to do with the chargers as it's not just the plug that is the problem - it's the internal bits which run on different voltages. You would have to buy a transformer, and by the time you have done that you might as well have bought one over here

winestein · 03/03/2008 16:36

Ahhh [penny drops] You are talking about charging the internal battery of a laptop SP and not running it from the mains.

Trix11 · 03/03/2008 16:45
