Hair extentions for really short hair..possible?

Had THE worst cut nearly 3 weeks ago. Think pixie but longer on top and it's truly dreadful. I'm not usually vain but I have felt utterly miserable since.
I've found a local hair extentions person who thinks she can help.. I'm not after waist length hair just to not look like my dad!
Has anyone had extentions in very short hair?

I'll be honest - any extension technician would struggle with a blend on short hair as there won't be the length on your own hair to mesh into the length on the extensions.

You might be able to get away with some short pieces to add more length to just before jaw length and they'd need to be quite choppy by the sounds of it.

My hair is currently about this length.. but a bit more of a mop on top. In theory it was a decent cut, but my hair is thick and wavy and it's simply turned into an old lady wave! I just want a LITTLE bit more hair while mine grows back a bit! (And I swear to god, if I EVER come on here looking for short hair ideas.. stop me...I had waist length hair a year ago!)
