Going on from another thread, if you’ve had your colours done, do you have a Wow lip colour that really suits you?
If so please let me know your Season colour with a brief description of your colouring and your Wow lip colour shade.
I could just ask for Spring/Autumn recommendations as I’m warm toned but thought would be good to open it up to all seasons so everyone can get some inspo.

I have one
NC25 Spring.

Caramel strawberry hair
Green amber eyes

Mac Chilli is gorgeous on me but I have to be in the mood to look “done”.
Would love recs for a more toned down MLBB shade. Thought it would be Twig but it’s too purple cool toned on me.

I’m a light summer and probably my favourite MLBB shade is Chanel Boy. I love browny nudes on other people but I need more of a soft pink. Pillow Talm makes me look dead.

JMAngel1 · 05/09/2023 20:26

God yes Pillow Talk looks dreadful in me too although the PT medium shade is do-able.

I like chilli, also Devoted to Chilli and Brick o la for a bit more subtle

Brickthrough is also lovely and the same tones

I'm deep autumn but I can't wear dark autumn lip colours, my lips are too thin! The spring colours look fine on me though. Pillow talk looks bad on me too, but the pillow talk lip liner looks good with Dior lipglow. Any pinky peachy nudes look good as long as they aren't too pale

smokingcarriageonly · 05/09/2023 23:05

Jane Iredale Gabby and Molly are good warm nudes (I'm a blue autumn, dark hair, light skin, blue eyes).

JMAngel1 · 06/09/2023 05:46

@Purpleavocado
Which Spring colours do you wear?
I know what you mean about darker Autumn shades - my lips aren't very full either.a

Thanks @morelippy I'll check out Brick- o- la

I have 015 Seductive Sienna Revlon arriving today!

It looks rich and warm without being orangey!

I can wear most shades as long as they don't pull orange on me!

I’ve had Mac Twig in the past but it’s too dark for me for daytime. I haven’t had my colours done but I always wear warm/ neutral make up so I guess that’s autumn! I wear Mac Modesty a lot (hate the name though) It’s basically the same colour as my lips but richer. Also Mac Minimauve. Tempted to go lipstick shopping now 😊

MadisonAvenue · 06/09/2023 08:10

I haven’t had my colours done but I’m warm toned and in Mac foundation I wear NC15. My hair is dark blonde and I have blue eyes.

My go to lipstick is Vegas Volt, that really brightens my face up. See Sheer and Mull It Over are slightly muted warm pink shades which I wear on occasions.

I do find that Mac is best for warm toned lipsticks.

Cantonet · 06/09/2023 12:15

I have a soft autumn, low contrast colouring, that can also wear soft summer shades, depending on whether I'm tanned or not.
I'm ash blonde/golden blonde, depending on current highlights with medium skin & grey/blue eyes. My best colours in Mac are Runway Hit & Please Me for peach/pinky nudes. Twig only looks good when I have a tan as it's a little too blue otherwise.
In the Velvet Blur lipsticks Sheer Impact in a Grapefruit Pink really lights up my face & is probably the brightest I go, plus Mull It Over is a lovely peachy/orangey shade. I can't really wear red unless it's sheer like Clinique Chunky Cherry Chubby Sticks.

JMAngel1 · 07/09/2023 05:03

@Cantonet yes Twig looks blue/purple on me too. Runway Hit looks gorgeous. Think I’m going to have to hit up the MAC stand this weekend.

@MadisonAvenue ooh I have Vegas Volt - it is gorgeous but very “summer” on me and again sometimes too much just for every day. The bold colours I’m good for - it’s the every day colours I feel I haven’t got quite right.
I had Come Over on yesterday and again, it’s jut a touch too mauve - not to mention a little drying.

This looks beautiful.

I am a dark autumn and Mac have stopped my favourite Bad and Bare have yet to find something to replace it! For going out, I can wear Mac Film Noir and for daytime Coffee Shimmer by Rimmel.

Mull It Over may work for you. It’s one of their Powder Kiss lipsticks and has a lovely texture, it’s a peachy pink and on me is quite close to MLBB.

DressDilemma · 07/09/2023 22:33

I am deep winter and blue toned reds and pinks look good on me. My favourites are MAC Ruby Woo and Mehr.

Cantonet · 07/09/2023 22:48

@JMAngel1 Runway Hit is a lovely colour but rather drying. I have to use Mac Primer & a lip pencil with it.
I also occasionally wear Mehr but it's not the best colour on me, being a little too much of a cooler shade of Pink.

Cantonet · 07/09/2023 22:59

I forgot that Mac Kinda Sexy is sort of similar to Runway Hit but not quite as drying. Unfortunately the shade is not quite as good as the other one on me.

I find the same with those two. Runway Hit is a lovely colour and suits me but is very drying yet Kinda Sexy isn’t quite right on me.
