Odd on a Summers Day but turning my attention to winter and seen some of these vinted coats on Vinted going cheap - always cheaper to buy used goods out of season!

Is it really that warm or just a style choice!?

Do you mean like Del Boy? I used to have a vintage 70s one and it was incredibly warm, warmer than my current down coat I think. But also incredibly, seriously heavy.

They're more chic than Del Boys, his was borg.

Only warm if they have the fleece (the borg you mentioned?). If just suede/skin, then not warm.

So warm! I was given a huge one by a friend and was initially cautious because of adding extra bulk to already curvy frame. But I love it now. It's so warm that in all but the most freezing weather I just leave it open, which is a lot more flattering on me.

But it's like wool vs polyester "wool". The synthetic ones are not that warm at all, whilst simultaneously being less breathable.
