Cheaper alternative to Charlotte Tilbury Primer

I have treated myself to the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless foundation and I really like it but I find it very stiff to apply - unlike other foundations it doesn't glide on as I would like. I know I probably need a primer underneath but I just can not afford £40 for CT primer. That would have been £95 on make up in one hit and with school uniforms etc this month it is impossible. Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative primer that I could try that may work well with CT foundation.

Do you moisturise?

I was going to say if you mix a pump of stiff foundation with any serum or moisturiser on the back of your hand and use a beauty blender sponge (dupes available in primark!) it will surely help!

I really, really feel your pain though on ‘expensive products that don’t quite work’.

If anyone has great recommendations for inexpensive primers I am here for it!

I always use the MUA primers, they're £4 and very, very good. I've used some high-end primers and always come back to MUA.

There's different types too depending on what you need. I personally use the oil-free one as I always use Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation.
