Powder blush/highlighter to set liquid blush and cream highlighter

I have been doing this for a while (using powder blusher and highlighter to set my cream highlighter and liquid blush)but I am not sure if it's because my skin has become drier, it kinda looks cakey now? So I started using liquid blush and cream highlighter on its own and set it with setting spray (don't like setting powder as it makes my skin look matte).

I am going for a dewy look. What do you all do.

I use Jones Road Miracle balm over cream or powder blush and it gives a nice glowy look

I have the same issue. Too many layered products look cakey, and while I like cream products sometimes they're too dewy.

I like satin powder products like these: Korean blushes, or this Dim Light by Hourglass. I'm pretty pale though.

I like Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blushes as lot as well. They're not stains, but they are liquid and are so beautiful.

My liquid blush is cherub by Daniel sandler!

@lavender2023 try Rose Gold Glow by him - it's beautiful. It's probably enough on its own if you're using Cherub!

I have started to use more cream products now I'm in my 60s but thing is my cream blusher and bronzer doesn't last more then a couple of hours, so then I have to put powder blush/ bronzer to set, the items I use are clinique stick blush/ bronzer and a laura geller stick blusher, are there any others that might last longer.

That wouldn't set the cream products though. Doesn't it just all slide off over the day?

Frieda12 · 03/09/2023 14:30

@ohboohoo I find the Miracle Balm sort of ‘grips’ the underneath products in place somehow and I get a decent wear time from it on me it tends to fade towards the end of the day rather than slides off.

I don't tend to wear foundation, just moisturiser and some cream blush. I don't set with powder or anything. I use the tanning drops in my moisturiser sometimes to give me a bit of colour but without the cakeiness of foundation.
