Another what jacket/cardigan/wrap as a cover up

The event is a joint birthday & engagement party in a hot country. As it’s a double celebration 3-4 hours will be spent in an air conditioned room which will be freezing, then late evening party moves outside & I’ll be able to remove the outer layer. I have a light pink cotton shirt but it looks odd as a cover up and not enough to keep me warm. Help please.

Have you considered a pashmina? It would fit relatively easily into a bag when you get outside.

@BiggerBadderBrainfogged I had initially ruled it out because I didn’t want it to be a nuisance while eating and running around (I’m helping with the birthday stuff) but I guess a big wrap will have to do as nothing really goes with the dress.

Might be a bit of a pain but it will look elegant and you have a load of colours to chose from with that beautiful dress.

Tailored linen jacket, or an oversized lightweight blazer might look more modern.
