Holiday footwear for children

We are going on a sun holiday next week.
What shoes do children wear abroad?
I've been recommended Crocs, the ones with the strap at the back. I'm thinking those for the 6 year old and also for the toddler? Are sandals ( like cloth strap ones from eg Next) better?

Crocs are good for the beach and around the pool. If they're going to be doing any walking you'll want sandals.

For young kids abroad on a beach holiday you should get by with a pair of Crocs, a pair of trainers and a good pair of sandals with straps.

Ok thank you 😊

My ds always hated sandles even as a toddler. We've ways stuck with lightweight trainers and water shoes for the beach or pool

My kids lived in their crocs in our holiday.

We took the crocs sandals for during the day and a nicer pair of sandals for evenings when we went with our DD aged 4 and DS aged 2 in June.

I liked keen sandals for mine when they were small, protected their toes
