Kids grey joggers - literally neither style nor beauty

I’ve stupidly left it to the last week of the holiday to get uniform so fully deserve this panic.

dd2 is starting school nursery and for this youngest year they are allowed dark grey joggers for ease.

i thought this would be easy, but she has a strong preference for trousers with pockets (probably brought on by hearing me mutter darkly about the lack of pockets in women's clothing).

i cannot find standard grey kids joggers with pockets, size 5-6, for less than £20 each. Help me Obi-wan-kenobi, you’re my only hope?

If you can I would steer away from pockets. The stuff my lo has brought home on her pockets ranges from just weird (someone else's sock!) To gross (left over mac and cheese -to eat later apparently!)

They're in the sale at £5.40. They have pockets and a working drawstring!

M&S have them in dark grey but only in age 6-7. I expect you knew that so that’s not much help!

the George ones only come in that light/white grey, not school trouser grey.

M&S as you say is out of stock in this size

H&M is only in stock for age 1.5-2.

Try primark. Dd has some dark grey with pockets (although is older). Also had some a while back from sports direct although not sure what they're like for younger ones.

Boys section in Primark, about £3 a pair, that's where I get DDs joggers for PE.

I find eBay really good for non logo school stuff. Specially when it’s ‘oh, they just need brown leggings and an orange t-shirt for the show’ or ‘just a plain pair of shorts will be fine for sports day as long as they’re in their house colour’.

I get all joggers, shorts, plain t shirts, grey trousers etc from there - often quite good quality but with labels cut out. And because it’s so many sellers usually you can find what you need in stock somewhere.

I used this site for my kids PE kits this year as I object to the prices for a crap quality hoody that fades and falls apart from the school supplier. They're really nice soft fleecy material and have been a hit. DS is very slim so I tend to get his joggers from next as they're the best fitting I've found on him but these ones have been fine for DD.
