How can I find big bold oversized shirts and tops?

You know, like artists in films might have worn in the 80s? Loose fitting shirts in bright or at least bold geometric patterns. Ones you can wear with leggings and boots and feel like the dogs bollocks? Also has to come in plus size range, I am a size 22. But tbh I couldn’t seem to find what I wanted even when I was a size 12. I must be a really crap googler. Any ideas?

Monki often do great prints - and they seem to go up to a size 24

Monki does have them, but the XXL sells out as soon as it's listed. Worth hovering there, I think.

Reluctant as I am to recommend it, Shein has the best selection of bright, abstract print tops & tunics, often in generous sizes.

Asos gets the occasional good one, but similar problem to Monki. I've seen nice ones at Boohoo and Yours.

I like your style, OP! If you've got an enormous budget, you can look at niche makers/importers of kaftans in fascinating fabrics. Can't name any for you as they're out of my range - but I'm sure S&B knows all the secrets!

Yes yes to Monki - I am a similar size and have a few shirts from them, tho quality can be variable depending on fabric. (I have an excellent quality white cotton shirt with big polka dots I love.)

I also have a v good striped linen shirt (kind of a pyjama stripe?) that I bought from M&S this summer. I think it’s called a girlfriend fit. Might not be patterned enough for you but the fit and quality are really good. Things like the pocket stripes line up properly with the body of the shirt, and all the details are done on the horizontal stripe. Also well priced.
