Lucy and Yak dungarees plea

Staying with parents part of bank holiday weekend. Put on a small clothes wash with stain remover as didn’t have time to do at my house and it’s ruined DM’s dungarees which I didn’t realise were in there. Turns out they were her favourite! Sad

They’re cotton and shade blueberry Bee according to Lucy and Yak. They don’t do the shade anymore and turns out not on eBay/vinted either. It looks like a powder blue to me.

If anyone has these in small/medium and wants to sell them or knows the shade name I’d be grateful. I feel so stupid.

Have you tried fb Market place? Just did a random search and these are an 8/10.

Have you tried getting in touch with Lucy and Yak directly? I heard the founders on the radio and people can sell their used dungarees back to them. They are thinking of opening a second hand store of their own clothes. They may be able to help you or direct you to the nearest shop that sells their clothes second hand.

Vinted might probably be helpful here

MrJi · 26/08/2023 13:57

Ruined how ?
Patchy dye ? Faded ? Stain remover doesn’t normally affect colour unless you used a bleach based whitener ?
Re dying them is easy, machine dye in the colour they were.

It was a bleach based stain remover.

It was a bleach based stain remover.

It which case wash it, then wash it again, then re dye it. Amazon sell Dylon dyes but you may have local shops that stock them too.

Thanks going to try that. It was some stain bleach remover from France in my DMs house and I didn’t think and forgot she put her dungarees in the machine.

I heard that same programme too. They sounded really keen on customer service. I think that's a good idea.

moomoosaka · 26/08/2023 16:05

Redye them

Can you post a photo of them? I'm not sure they've done a colour called Blueberry 🤔 Are they corduroy or like a cotton twill?

There's also an official L&Y Facebook group and a sales group attached to that.

broccolibush · 26/08/2023 17:32

There’s a resale Facebook group - Lucy & Yak re:yak or something like that. There are lots of sellers and people asking for things on there. Might be worth joining?

TenOhSeven · 26/08/2023 17:32

I'd say you've done her a favour - nobody looks good in Lucy and Yak dungarees!

That’s the colour of them and they’re a cotton twill. I’d say they’re a powder blue, so a sort of mid blue. Not light and not dark. L&Y said it was the shade Blueberry B (bee?).

Will try the FB group.

On the order where she’s ordered them I think they’re a number rather than a shade so makes it slightly harder to source the colour.
