Newbie Vinted question - cancelled sale

Getting to grips with Vinted as a buyer and a seller and finding it excellent so far but I have a quick question.

I listed an item yesterday. It picked up a lot of 'favourites' quite quickly. Overnight, someone has bought the item and then immediately cancelled the sale. Vinted has left automatic negative feedback on their profile and gave me the option in the conversation to relist the item, which I did. However, it has created a whole new listing. The old listing with all the favourites is still marked as sold and the new listing has gone back to zero. Is this how it works? It's very annoying!

I don't know how you'd do this automatically, but in this case I would chat with them in the help centre and ask whether you can reinstate the original item with the favourites on it

Yes, I'm afraid that's how it happens. Depending on what time of day you listed and what the item is, it might be worth deleting and listing again tomorrow - I always work on the assumption that 'young' people will be out on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning, today is a bank holiday so slower, whereas tomorrow they might be laid shopping with a hangover 😂

Can you see the people who favourited it? Might be possible to message them and let them know it's still available

I cancelled on vinted as the seller didn't reply to me after 5 days despite seeing my additional message asking when the would post. The message I got was that I would receive negative feedback. Anyone know why this was the case when the seller didn't converse? I have only ever bought 2 items previously and the sellers were both very quick to post and to converse. thanks.

I’m pretty sure Vinted say the seller has 7 days to send it, so if you cancelled after 5 days I can see why the negative feedback happened. If someone is selling a lot of things on Vinted they may not reply to each message which may seem rude to you, but not to them - people have different standards of communication I guess.
