Sun cream that doesn't stain white T-shirts

I wear La Roche Posay antethelios 50 all year round on face, neck and chest. Most of the time I have no issues but I find that on humid/sweaty days it leaves a yellowish mark on the neckline of T-shirts that seems impossible to get out. Any recommendations for factor 50 for sensitive skin that does not stain clothing please? And/Or tips on products which will remove the staining? I have soaked overnight in vanish and washed on really long washes with vanish.

I've never found a sunscreen that works but doesn't stain no.
But I've just chucked a white wash in that's been soaking in ordinary washing powder for 3 days and which I used washing up liquid on the stain. That usually lifts it out.

Thanks Field. The hunt continues...

Biore watery essence doesn't stain

I’m also searching for this!
I've read that mineral sun creams are less likely to stain so I’m trying out the Bondi sands zinc face lotion at the moment… though I don’t have an unstained white t shirt so it’s hard to tell! I don’t like that one on my face so I’m just using it on my neck.
As for stain removal, I’ve tried soaking in vanish, hydrogen peroxide, bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, fairy liquid, the sun, and various combinations of these but nothing gets it completely out.

None of my mineral sunscreens stain.

None of my mineral sunscreens stain.

Can you give examples of them please?

I’ve never had a problem with Bondi Sands sunscreen. The Aussies know their stuff when it comes to sun protection.

Ultrasun is good for avoiding stains I have found.

I remember trying to get rid of the sunscreen stains from DC’s white polo shirts. I discovered that bleach dyes the yellow bits bright pink!
I wear Anthelios on my face too….doesn’t sting eyes which I need as a runner. Listening closely for advice on yellow stains.

Ultrasun sports gel is really good. Bondi Sands would be my second choice.

I had some success getting suncream stains out with lemon juice and salt. Soak the stain in the juice, liberal sprinkle of salt and leave for a while before washing as normal.

Yes of course , I use Avene factor 50 very high protection mineral fluid , there is a cream too I think. On my face and neck I also often use Skingredients skin shield factor 50 mineral . Also Freshly Healthy Mineral Protection factor 50.
The Avene is the cheapest of those. Other brands also do mineral creams.
I am very fair skinned and allergic to most chemical screens so I have tried a lot of the mineral based ones, even the tinted ones wash out without stains. Avene comes in a tinted or not tinted option, the tinted is a bit too dark for me, but the non tinted is quite white like most mineral screens.

The other advantage of mineral sun cream is that it is safe for sea swimming. Some chemical screens harm aquatic life.

Gruum doesn't stain.

If you type “mineral sunscreen” into the search bar on the Boots website they have a decent range , different factors, ones for children and babies etc.

TallulahMazda · 26/08/2023 12:07

Have you tried the spray Anthelios? The one marketed as a facial sun tan lotion is the one I use year round on face and arms etc. it doesn't yellow clothing.

chesterlestreet · 26/08/2023 12:12

I use the invisible fluid so will try the spray. Lots of other good suggestions. Will definitely try a mineral one too. Thanks All
