Tomorrow I am going shopping for a top to wear to my birthday party, I want a really nice one, has anyone seen one they could suggest, because it will be pouring and blowing a gale and anything that would speed up my search would be great!! Thank you!

I've just bought a top from M&S's Limited Collection which I plan to wear with white skinny jeans with high heels for a smart party look and flats for a casual look but I think it would just as well with dark jeans.
It's on the website code no. T694400F
and is £35. DH thought it looked great on.

whizz56 · 29/02/2008 20:35

are you ok about your arms?

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 20:38

Need to find out what sort of style you want - funky? Classic? Sexy?

Is this too frilly?

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 20:42

This is cute, but only if your arms are OK.

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 20:48

This might be too daytimey?

I think with a top like that turquoise one, you need to try it on. I can see what your mum means though.

janeite · 29/02/2008 20:54

That frilly one is really pretty and would be lovely in black and not at all lampshadey.

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 20:55

Oasis have a lot - too many to choose just a few to link to - sorry.

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 20:58

Can you do strapless animal print?

THat's pretty. ASOS have some nice things - this is pretty, but not on the high street. I like this too.

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 21:06

More pink?

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 21:09

Dramatic
Multicolour sequins
Not sure about this one?
Needs some good chunky jewellery with it, imo

Hey Aimsmum - I'm going out tomorrow night too (and the same city as you too!!) and at least 2 of us going out are wearing tops from Oasis.

Think there's a pretty good selection in there at the moment. I'd recommend giving it a bash.

Enjoy your birthday night out!

JackieNo · 29/02/2008 21:10

Ah - X-posts. Know what you mean about the gaping under boob bit.

RipMacWinkle · 29/02/2008 21:13

Oops just noticed it's not till next week!!

That'll teach me to read the OP properly.
