I'm too old (and been with DP too long) to do
a) white and flouncy
b) long

How about this
Have seen this in the flesh btw - stunning imo!
?

norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 19:15

ah, bit out of budget, but here's a full-outfit view anyhow:here

Congrats - hope you find something stunning!

LittleMissBliss · 29/02/2008 19:19

do you mean something like this maybe?, i'll try find one in shops

LittleMissBliss · 29/02/2008 19:28

ooh i like this one here

AdamAnt · 29/02/2008 19:36

How about something from here There are some lovely floral prints in the 'swatch' section. The 'alternative' skirt is lovely, but it's long.

katierocket · 29/02/2008 19:38

norkmaiden - that's exactly the kind of thing, not right colour but it's the rooshing (you know what I mean!) that I like - the gathers of material.

littlemissbliss, don;t think the galaxy style will suit me, I think the other style would be more flattering.

a bit too goth for me
this one is particularly eek

Or something from here

AdamAnt · 29/02/2008 19:45

LOL - I was hoping you might politely ignore over that one

norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 19:48

KR, what size are you? And what colour are you after?

Here's an amazing one on ebay.

katierocket · 29/02/2008 19:49

I like it when the dress is gathered and structured

OP posts:
katierocket · 29/02/2008 19:51

oo yes I like that. I'm a size 12. To be very fussy I'd rather have a matt type fabric

OP posts:
S1ur · 29/02/2008 19:57

how about this?

beautifuldays · 29/02/2008 19:59

maybe this? i have no idea about vivienne westwood i'm afraid, but thought it was quite nice

norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 20:00

Slur's is cool. The proper rouched, boned etc look is hard to achieve without the proper corsetry...dunno where to look other than VW tbh.

How about this as a random idea??

norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 20:01

or this (sorry, getting more random I fear!)

whizz56 · 29/02/2008 20:02

what about this?
www.divacorsets.com/product.php?id=224 don't be put off my th esatin tummy, remember any flab will be tucked in safely in the corset...I would suggest chicken fillets to that model though...oh and in peacock

norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 20:09

random again - but have a look, this is just beautiful !!

katierocket · 29/02/2008 20:14

yes I like that slur. I fear perhaps you are right though nork - maybe I'm not going to be happy with anything other than VW. Not much chance of affording though.

OP posts:
katierocket · 29/02/2008 20:15

ah, now, I like that gown BUT that's the kind of thing I want to avoid. I think you have to have 0% fat of any kind to get away with that silky, drapey style. Very unforgiving of any bumps.

OP posts:
norkmaiden · 29/02/2008 20:24

ikwym KR, but you could do it with industrial underwear - spanx plus something v norkboosting up top? Not exactly typical wedding underwear but would do the job.

What sort of wedding (and thus dress) are you planning anyway? Am surfing happily but have no idea what I'm looking for, really! Posh do/church/hotel/pub/garden party??

hatwoman · 29/02/2008 20:33

nm's first one is fantastic. none of the other's come close imo!

hatwoman · 29/02/2008 20:39

bambi? don't know how much though

hatwoman · 29/02/2008 20:40

that constantine site is worth a look through - skeletal models aside there are several nice ones
