Would it be silly to buy dd a warm coat now? And if not, help me find a nice one.

She's about grown out of her winter coat. I was going to make do as the warmer weather ust surely be here soon, but today is icy and I think maybe I should get her something sensible.

I've been looking on ebay for a second hand one but can't find anything nice.

Is anywhere still stocking warm, possibly waterproof coats?

Or shall we just make do with fleeces and a raincoat until the cold snap ends?

how old is she? I have just bought dd (4) a new coat . I got age 5-6 so it will do next year as well. looks a bit big but not that huge so is fine

Nearly 2.

I bought her last coat 2-3 thinking it would last but I think it came up small.

Are you in the UK? If so Woolies have all their winter coats half price and still have some in our local store. Just got our DD a lovely brown cord one with little pick flowers on from there.

Millets and places like that normally have good sales on their coats at this time too. When dd was in 2-3 size it was about this time of year and I got her the 3-4 size it didn't drown her just looked like it was supposed to be long and the sleeves had velcro on them to tighten them so they never slipped down and it still fits her now and she is 5-6 and worn it through the rest of the winter I bought it and 2 since.
Machine washes well and you can buy stuff to put it in the machine with to re water proof it.
