Warm winter slippers - with no animal products!

I was looking at another thread about warm slippers and it was pretty unanimous that sheepskin is the best.

But I want slippers that are vegan, warm, comfy, with a sole suitable for nipping outdoors and easy to get on/off.

Too much to ask??

@Fubbs

Vegan products are made from non renewal plastic, which is made from crude oil.

all polyester pvc and pleather is made from fossil fuels. The idea that vegan is better for the planet, or is somehow magically ethical is wrong.

for a sustainable ethical slipper you’re better off with a sheep’s wool / wool felt one.
The sheep need to be shorn every year, and the wool is biodegradable and non polluting.
There are micro plastics released into the oceans from a wool slipper - the same cannot be said about any vegan products.

Massive generalisation there. No, not all vegan products are made from plastic.

I didn't cop that using vegan as a shortcut for no leather, suede, fur, feather, shearling, etc. would also rule out wool, my bad! I was more worried about forgetting to list something I won't wear, I've found some people seem surprised I don't use leather, etc, as a vegetarian so I was trying to get ahead of that. And failing 😖

I ended up down a barefoot slippers rabbit hole and order https://www.baabuk.com/collections/yves/products/yves-2019-dark-grey with an introductory 10% off but it's still a LOT more than I'd normally pay. Hope they live up to expectations (although I now realise I won't be able to nip outside in them, sigh).

I also found out that I've been ordering the wrong size! I thought I was a 38, three different printed templates later and I'm a 37!
