Hair goes puffy all the time! Recommendations?

My hair is naturally frizzy / wavy, I dry it and straighten it using pretty old ghd’s. However nice it is after straightening within an hour or 2 it’s gone puffy and frizzy, whatever the weather. Even if I’m just indoors. It’s driving me mad because it just won’t stay nice!

Any recommendations for products? I’ve been trying more expensive shampoo’s etc lately but no luck finding the one yet. I’ve tried Wella professional and Redken all soft. Neither do much for my hair to be honest.

Do I need new straighteners? Cloud 9’s? Help!

This might not be what you're after but have you tried embracing your curls? I used to be the same but now I've given up the fight my hair looks so much better. I use only curls products, shampoo, conditioner, curl cream (which is basically a leave in conditioner) and curl gel. I never brush any more just comb the conditioner through with my fingers, then scrunch in the curl cream, give it a quick scrunch with a t shirt to get some of the wetness off then scrunch on the gel and leave it (you could also diffuse though if you'd rather) It's so much easier. And it doesn't go frizzy unless I go out in the wind before it's dry. Rain is no longer my enemy
I thought I'd hate it and look like hagrid but I look back at pics of my "straightened" hair and honestly I looked Ike a witch half the time. Why not give it a try and see what you think?

But cloud 9s did used to straighten fairly well. Until I stepped out in the drizzle anyway

You could get hair Botox to smooth it out. It isn’t a chemical treatment.

@Clarice99 thank you! I’ve seen this lately, good to know it works, think I’ll get some

Came here to recommend this too. I have wavy hair that can wavy and/or frizzy but this keeps my hair smooth for days. Honestly blew my mind. You have to make sure you get the right on though, there are three different variants.

I stopped hair straightening and started working with what I have, which are curls!

Another vote for Color Wow Dream Coat. My hair tends to go fluffy but this has made a huge difference. I wash my hair daily but only use the Dream Coat twice a week, it says it lasts for up to four washes, I was sceptical, but it does work.
