I think Tring or Henlow Grange closest to London. Tring can get to by train out of Euston, Henlow via train out of Kings Cross. Check out directions on website.

You can get a train to Arlesey, which is about a mile from Henlow Grange (we live in Henlow ). Or can get one to Letchworth which is about 15 min away from Henlow (and has a taxi rank).
