Does anyone wear hair toppers or wigs?

Where do you purchase yours from?

Do you wear or prefer human hair or synthetic hair?

I have very very fine hair due to low ferritin/anaemia and have been wearing hair toppers for the last 8 years.

I purchased my last 3 human hair toppers from a woman who hand makes toppers in the U.K. but she has raised her prices so very high recently that I just can not afford them anymore. My last topper (2 years ago) was £400 but the same length and density is now well over £1000.

HuntingoftheSnark I invested in a hand held steamer, they really help with the ratty ends which you can get from the synthetic ones and particularly the heat defiant toppers and wigs. I follow a couple of wig and topper wearers on YouTube they have some really helpful tips. One is Fabricating Fringe and the other is Jill Lynn Beauty Therapy.

Have a search for wigs in some black hair forums and you will get your answers! Black women are super experts in wig buying and wearing. I have worn wigs all my adult life.

HuntingoftheSnark It’s just a standard garment steamer but does the job. I spent ages going through various YT videos and mist were using clothing steamers.

MBailey99 I have been following quite a few on YT for years, so many have wig wearing and maintenance down to a fine art. I am in absolute awe how some take a cheap looking wig and turn it into something which looks so natural. It never ceases to amaze me.
