I have very dry sensitive skin. I've spent a lot of money on face creams, hydrating cleansers and I still feel its dry and tired looking.

I see some people put an oil on their face, can anyone recommend one?

I use amaranthine facial oil. I was a bit reluctant as I have combination skin but it works really well and is the only product I use on my face now. I use it at night.

I have dry skin it's also about how you later hydration.

Use one of the korean toners like langeige.

Illiyoon ceramide moisturiser

Either vaseline or the ordinary squalene. Or the beauty pie overnight green oil is excellent.

I've used loads of expensive facial oils, they smell wonderful but I don't necessarily find them better.

I also wear the nuxe dry oil on my face. Very soothing! Not every day but it's a lovely all purpose when I get dry skin around my temples and mouth.

I have very sensitive skin and have never found a moisturiser that didn't feel like it was stripping my skin. That was sort of ok but post meno I need something for my now dry face

I discovered Badger Balm and it is the only thing that doesn't react on my face

Bio oil or coconut oil

I have dry sensitive skin and I love coconut oil for my hair, it makes my hair softer and shiny, however on my face it makes me have bumps/hives.

True skincare - Rosehip and Rosemary oil.

I apply after I've washed my face before bed. Its a miracle product- can't recommend enough.

It also smells amazing, so feels like a spa treat each night.

Argan oil for face and neck, Palmers cocoa oil for body. Sometimes the gold Nuxe oil for a bit of sheen (it also smells amazing). I used to have issues with dry scalp and a regular coconut oil mask helped that; sometimes I still use it on my feet.

You can add a few drops of essential oils to your rosehip to give extra skin benefits/nice smell.

JerkintheMerkin · 13/08/2023 11:11

I've had great success with Astral. Ever since I've started using it people ask how all of a sudden my skin is glowing. Gave all my face oils to my DD.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 13/08/2023 11:13

At night I add Clarins facial oil about 20 minutes after my moisturiser and it really helps.
I use an oil cleanser to remove make up and cleanse. Then I use a serum, moisturiser and then the oil.
in the morning I cleanse, different serum and then a moisturiser. I don’t use oil in the day

Sugar House Organics Get Up & Glow Facial Oil is excellent:

I would be careful with essential oils if you have sensitive skin, "natural" definately doesn't mean non irritating.

Summerhillsquare · 13/08/2023 12:27

Another vote for rosehip.

gingercat02 · 13/08/2023 12:31

I use Rituals face oil. It smells delicious

FourEyesGood · 13/08/2023 14:18

I have sensitive skin and use the previously mentioned Superdrug Vit E facial oil morning and evening.

True and thanks for mentioning.

Express0 · 13/08/2023 17:31

I use the rosehip oil in the evening. I layer it on top of either glycolic acid or HA.

Heavensalongwayaway · 13/08/2023 17:35

Clarins oils are great. I use both the santal and the blue orchid oil

FeelingPrickly · 13/08/2023 20:09

I have the Elemis oil and Aldo rose oil but have just started using the nourishing cleanser, serum and peptide moisturiser from Dermatica and it’s so much better on my skin because it’s really hydrating without being greasy.

Rina66 · 14/08/2023 05:11

I use Bio oil at night on my face and right down to my chest, I can really notice if I don't use it.

CoveredWindows · 14/08/2023 05:36

Votary drops with AHA have transformed my dry skin. Very expensive but last for months and months

Yes don't start adding essential oils to the face oil you buy
