Natural or gentle hair dyes - scalp psoriasis

I don’t think want to go grey but need to accept that dying my hair really upsets my scalp psoriasis.

I am naturally a dark brown, wondering if there is a way to make henna work for this?! Or any particularly gentle brands? Clutching at straws I think.

You could try henna. I have bought henna cream in the past from eBay. I have a severe hair dye allergy and quite sensitive skin. I use a colouring conditioner called Leganza from Amazon and it's been absolutely fine. I leave it in for an hour every couple of weeks and it completely covers my extensive grey. I have no idea how it would react with psoriasis though.

When I still dyed still it was necessary for me to use ammonia-free. That was a new thing at the time but there's much more on the market now. Garnier Olia was one. But I am fully white/gray and if I was flaring I couldn't guarantee the cycle of dyeing in time to cover the roots so it was easier to just get a temporary short cut and grow it out to natural. It suits me as I changed/had a rethink of everyday cosmetic and wardrobe colours to suit the new hair.

I have just ordered Leganza - thanks for the recommendation.
OP I have also tried Daniel Field which was good.
