Bed Linen

Is this "Style and Beauty"? Not sure really ... but anyway, I need your help (if you can be bothered!)

I need new bed linen. We only have one set for our bed and sick to the back teeth of having to ram it in the washing machine as soon as I get up then wait for it to finish in order to hang it up before I go to work so that it will be dry enough to iron when I get home in order to put it back on the bed the same night!

So, I wanted this one: Niceduvetcover

but it is out of stock. I'm kicking myself - I saw it before Christmas but thought I'd be sensible and wait until bonus time.

At the moment we have this one: Currentduvetcover

Or something like it from White Co. Don't really want stripes again.

Curtains heavy woven cream things, walls cream, one lamp with pale blue shade, bedside lamps cream on outside but chocolate with pale blue flowers inside.

Any suggestions, lovely, helpful MNetters?! Merci d'avance, as they say where I come from!

Do you have a TKMaxx anywhere near you? They often have great bedlinen.

SmartArse · 28/02/2008 12:15

Yes, not too far away, Blue - might try to get there this weekend (kids' social lives permitting!). There wasn't anything last time I looked, but their stock changes all the time, doesn't it?

Oh, and preferably 100% cotton and without the envelope style opening with buttons which we currently have and which is a PITA to iron and the buttons keep coming off!

this? i'm also on a duvet quest

SmartArse · 28/02/2008 12:27

Oooh, not bad, Southeastastra - although not 100% cotton.

What are you looking for? Give me a clue and I'll see if I can come up with anything for you whilst I'm on my own hunt!

My favourite bed linen is plain white egyptian cotton shtuff from a supplement in the Guardian.

It was fairly cheap but sooo lovely and washes really nicely too.

Lomond · 28/02/2008 13:16

how about this one? I get a lot of bedding out of Argos as it is so cheap. It is 100% cotton.
Just look out for the cotton ones.

Ah. Now you're confusing me, Lomond. I like that one too!

I'll check out Virgin Vie, Ruby - thanks for the offer!
