I have melisma on my face and I am torn between Alumier (which apparently doesn't contain hydroquinone) or the prescribed skincare with tretonin and hydroquinone.

Everyone seems to rave about Alumier but there is very little in terms of online reviews: any experience of either?!

Hi, I use the Alumier tinted suncream and really like it. It's a universal tint and slightly glowey. I have dehydrated, sensitive skin and I find it hydrating and not at all stinggy. You will need to reapply during the day. It is very expensive so if I were you I'd go to a clinic and ask for samples/testers of any products you may be interested in before you commit to one. It's v individual- what suits one person may not suit another & a reputable clinic/therapist will acknowledge that. Best of luck with your search x

@Onynx Oh I've tried a tested of that (is it the SPF40 one?) and it's absolutely gorgeous and was the only product of the whole range that I wanted to buy. Otherwise I was leaning towards dermatica etc but then I am told that with the prescription skincare I need SPF50. Confused why Alumier only have the hydrating SPF in a 40!?

Apparently there's v v little difference betw factors 30, 40 & 50- it seems to be working for me so far. No new freckles or darker patches of skin this summer.

The other that I use frequently is the Rosalique SPF 50- there's loads of reviews online /YouTube of that one.
