Klaxon - I bought something I love from Boden!!!

I am one of the many MNers on the long running thread about "WTF has happened to Boden" (which I now can't find, search function on the mobile site is rubbish).

I was browsing for work trousers at the weekend, and these came up in the Boden archive sale. About £40, to good weight cotton/Lycra twill. Nice fit. Could do with being a smidge longer, but I can live with that.

I wonder if this is really archive stuff? There seems to loads in many sizes. Can I hope it's a return to the "old" Boden? And I got a mini-catalogue yesterday called "When in Rome". Lots of twill trousers, shirt dresses and not overwhelmed by gratuitous frills and mad patterns. Is there hope?

I ordered a lovely dress, top and jumper from the archive sale.

The lovely dress was too short but I managed to find it in a longer length at Otrium for £10 less. The jumper is amazing, I'm tempted to get it in the other colour.

I love the jumper it's styled with too.
I'm planning to wear them with thin jumpers or big shirts, and brogues or dm boots in the autumn.

Love the top, have seen and considered buying a few months ago. Is it quite low in real life? I’m not a fan of wearing a cami underneath, I teach secondary so don’t want to wear something too low cut

I love the trousers too but I'm too short, I wish they did a choice of lengths.

I like these and have ordered some too. Interestingly though I cannot search for ‘Boden Archive ‘ sale in the search or menu bar on their website.

Boden, have reintroduced the amazing Ellen Ottoman dress! I was able to purchase one today! I had given up hope that Boden would sell any sensible clothing ever again. A knee length, sensible, pocketed, washable, not floral, not ruffled, not puff sleeved, work dress. Hoooooorah!

Boden: there may be hope.

No hope from me, to me they just look like something that didn't sell for good reason and are in the sale. The turnups look awkward and it's a bit of an odd cut re: leg length and waist height. I quite like the back but that's about it.

I'm not saying they won't look good on a person, im sure they absolutely can but to me they just look like the sort of thing I'd expect to see at Boden as someone who already doesn't shop there.

What do I know though, I saw a cardigan in M&S earlier I quite liked and that's never happened before.
