What is this strange face lumpiness and who do I see about it?

Hi all,

Any idea what this strange swelling is on my upper lip / space between lip and nose. It shows on the left hand side of this photo. It seems to be spreading down now although slowly. I’ve had it a year or more but on one side. Looks worse than photo shows.

Any thoughts on who to see? Don’t want to waste gp time if it’s more of an aesthetics thing but it’s bordering unsightly and I don’t want it to get worse!

Is it allergy/urticaria?

It’s there all the time so I’m not sure. I know I’m middle aged jowly but it does seem more swollen than sagged!

@Bimblesalong i'll be honest i can't see any swelling, you have lovely firm skin, you don't look aged at all. I think it's something that might be noticeable to you but honestly i can't see any swelling xx

I can see it. I would have initially thought urticaria but, as all the time, can't be. I would definitely seek medical advice.

@Summer2424 You’re my new favourite person! I think it was not a good photo to show it - maybe the light I use for makeup makes it more obvious but it’s definitely there.

@Enoughnowbrandon thankyou - I’ll ask the gp surgery to fit me in. I don’t want it getting any bigger; my mind is running on to the Elephant Man!
