Just this really, had a consultation wit a surgeon who said it was possible for the fat to grow back. Anyone experienced this?

I did used to know someone who had one. She had lost a lot of weight to have it, but didn’t keep up the healthy eating and did go back up in weight and get big again.

A friend had surgery to remove skin after weight loss. She put the weight back on but it went on her hips instead back on her stomach.

I had a tummy tuck after losing 5 stone years earlier. Then gained nearly 3 stone during lock down and covid. Have lost it all again now and skin is fine, so still looks OK.

When you gain weight, your body makes new fat cells so its always going to be possible to put weight on again...

Not an expert but isn't a tuck just dealing with loose skin after weight-loss or birth.

Lipo is 'fat removal', and I think that if you continue to not address the reason for the weight gain, fat cells will swell elsewhere won't they?

I think a tuck is great for c-section aprons etc. But not for general 'big stomach' issues.

Yep, and my personal experience is it's harder to lose weight now than it was before op, don't know if that's a coincidence.
Agree with PP that the fat I gain now will go on in different areas than it used to - I am more hippy and love Handley now and also back fat. Delightful!
But having said that the op was a success and got rid of excess fat that exercise never would have done

Hi… just popping in to say that if you have doubts about sticking to a healthy diet and exercise lifestyle, don’t have a tummy tuck. It’s a very big surgery with a very long and painful recovery. It also has a serious risk of complications like infection and adhesions.

Thanks guys, lots to think about here. I really only wanted liposuction, I’ve had no kids so no muscle repair needed, surgeon said liposuction will look awful as I’ll have hanging skin.
