If I like leggings, what other pull on trousers will I like?

I find leggings v comfortable like no other trouser! But I don’t think they’re great in mid season (I need a longer top to cover my midsection etc and it doesn’t work on my body shape so well - makes me look shapeless on top). Plus I don’t love the look of them, to be honest, unless they’re sportswear.

So I’m searching for some comfortable pull on trousers that aren’t too voluminous (I’m short with slim legs).

If I like leggings, what other comfortable pull on trousers will I like? Any links would be great!!!

There is a German company, called Robell, which makes nice trousers answering your description of what you want. Finding a local stockist may be difficult though. There's a shop near me that has them most years, but unless you're in Devon, that's probably not helpful.

Matalan do really nice jeggings, very soft material and Uniqlo do pull on trousers and jeans that look smart

I really like my jeggings from peacocks, I have a black and a dark grey pair. More substantial than leggings, but softer and stretchier than jeans without the tight waistband, button or zip. The cut fits me well - size 18, 5'8", and I usually wear with a tunic top or a dress.

I've just ordered a pair of the Lucy and Yak Alexa - looks like they have most sizes? Will report back - worries they're going to be too long.

Another one for the next jeggings. So comfortable. I was a bit funny about the idea of them until a friend let me try hers on and I was converted. I have about six pairs of black ones which can be smartened up with a blouse and nice shoes. They do cropped ones too.

I haven't found them to go saggy at all. They're quite a thick fabric and they wash well too.

Have a look at Uniqlo.

White stuff jeggings is another place to try, they have a sale on at the moment too.

Do they have pockets? The reviews suggest not, but some of the Insta pics look like they do 🤔

No they don't .

Returning to report back on the Lucy&Yak - they're not actually stretchy/jersey material although are pull on. They were too big and massively long even with turn ups so they will be going back.

Recommend sizing down and being tall!

I wanted them to be thicker jersey material. I've had the M&S ones and they're quite thin.

I like everything five pounds jogging bottoms. I really like temu's plain cropped top with joggers and under £15 they have really nice combat trousers made out of parachutes. They are so thin not see through and comfortable. That's my go to
M and S do the combat trousers in all shapes and sizes I love the Pettie one's they look cropped on me. Really smart.

Surely all trousers are “pull on”? How else can you get into them?

Some trousers have a buttoned or zipped fly which should be undone before putting them on. Some have a side fastening.Trousers described as pull on do not have these openings.

For the feel/comfort of leggings you just want some stretchy slightly smarter looking trousers or jogger look trousers. Maybe try M&S, John Lewis, Next, Saint & Sofia apartment pants etc.

Or failing that some trousers with a fixed waistband at the front and elastic at the back. A bit nanna-ish but you can hide the elastic if you want comfort.

Not really bizarre, @smithsgj , trousers might be elasticated but have fasteners. A consideration if, for example, you have broken your arm or something.
Some dresses are called pull-on too.

Halara joggers. Sort of a hybrid legging/jogger. Love them!
