Dress or jumpsuit for apple shaped body

I have a big birthday coming up and we are having lunch at a sky top London restaurant. I absolutely have no confidence in scrubbing up but I want to look smart . Am not expecting to look slim but would anyone recommend the right style that will be the most flattering. Dress or Jumpsuit?

A dress for sure, a V neck, A line jersy type material or silky wrap dress with some good shape wear underneath.

A Line or empire line. The neatest point is under your boobs. Have a look at Hot Squash. They have excellent dresses and jumpsuits with pockets. They're well made with forgiving material and they're very flattering.

Tulip shape also good for apples.

Apple shapes often have good legs, if this is the case a less fitted short dress can look great.
jumpsuit won’t be the most flattering on an Apple but depends if you’re bothered

Flattering is so boring.

Who are you?

As a fellow apple I avoid empire lines like the plague, unless you want to look 6 months pregnant.
Going against the grain, I got a beautiful black easy-fit jumpsuit from Vinted. It was Hush brand, off the shoulder I wore it just on the shoulder so bra straps didn’t show, elasticated waist and slim legs.
