Anyone have a UV facial lamp?

Hi all,

I went to the beauticians last week to try this UV lamp (red I think) and it was only the first week but the beauty therapist says it's worked brilliantly in her skin. So I've booked myself in for a course- £45 a go. Had a look on Amazon and they're £150 or around that. Has anyone bought one for home? Or had a course of treatment? It's for acne related skin.

It isn't UV, it's LED red light therapy. Yes it can work very well, it helps to stimulate collagen production.

There are different options - red, blue, yellow, orange - they all have different benefits, blue is antibacterial so better for acne if it's active. The red may help with the scarring due to the collagen effect.

However the salon may only offer red light.

Forgot to say that at home ones will not be salon strength and may need to be used a few time a a week.

After your course at the salon you could switch to at home and go the salon once a month.
