Which jacket/cover up with this dress ?

Very hot event but may get cooler / breezy in the eve.

My style is more Zara/ Cos than say Ted baker.

The event is a bit too fancy for usual denim jacket.

I have a lovely gold bomber but don't think the kaftan sleeves will work.

I'm thinking a kimono/ bolero cover up but the dress isn't in my usual colour palette tbh so I'm stumped on where to start. I think gold could work.

Cardigan isn't fancy enough.
I'll be wearing champagne gold sandals on my feet If that helps. Help!

I think a shawl would work better than a jacket. It's hard to say as it's something I'd wear on holiday where I wouldn't need a jacket

I bought a really cute short jeans style jacket in white linen, last spring at TJMAXX ( I thjnk) to wear over summer sleeveless dresses. It looks great with everything and I made a few people a bit jealous too!
Otherwise I think the gold bomber you already have would be perfect.

I don't like matchy matchy stuff myself.

Thanks @watersprites I did look at that mint velvet one but thought it may be a bit ott with the tassels!
I've found a sequin bolero cape on asos I'm going to try
