Cover up for this dress for wedding guest

I'm attending a wedding next week and hopefully wearing this dress. Photo doesn't do it justice but it is beautiful in real life!
I'd like to have some form of jacket/wrap to wear with it - not out of a particular need to cover up but more in case of poor weather. My preference would be for some type of blazer, but can't find anything that I can make work in terms of colours.
I'm a size 12. No specific budget - if it's something for this day only I would like it to be as cheap as possible, but happy to spend more if it's something I could get lots of wear from. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received - am coming up with lots of blanks when searching.

I think a cropped jacket would look better with that dress.

There's 20% off at Sosandar if you sign up for the email.

You could look for something else on vinted/ebay

Thank-you for suggestions so far!
I agree that a cropped jacket would work well - but not sure if I should be looking at pink or green? Or something entirely different? I've (so far) ruled out black as I think is less wedding-y.

I know you don’t want black - but this might work well:

And be useful going into Autumn.

Have you got a link, or a photo of you in the dress? It's difficult to see what the dress is really like!

Pink or green to match the colours in the dress would be fab. You'll know if you're more likely to get wear out of one of those colours.

How long is it on you OP? Is it fit and flare?

Dontlistitonfacebook · 29/07/2023 18:41

In the lime colour?

Roman do lots of cardigans which are made in a nicely heavy, flat knit which hangs really nicely. I like them for work - they’re not a blazer but smarter than the average cardigan. They do some lace back ones too. Cropped length. Worth a look.

That's an excellent and best suggestion. The shape is right- needs to be cropped, not a balzer. It's more than dressy enough for a wedding but you'd get loads of wear out of it.

This is my favourite! Will order and see.

Thank you!

Hope it works out for you! I'd just done this research as needed a cover up for wedding next week. Ended up with the Phase 8 one in magenta, lovely!
