Can you find me a work top to go with this skirt please?

I picked up this skirt from a charity shop (the dress agency link was the only image I found on Google) and love it although I know the knee-length style is hardly current. If the link goes down it's knee length Jaeger silk with flippy pleats - white with irregular medium sized electric blue spots.

I've got a boxy electric blue T shirt which I can wear with it for casual lunches, and a rather glam electric blue Reiss silk sleeveless top (also chazza) which will be nice with it for evenings out.

But what can I wear with it for work? I need something a bit more fitted, but all the white tops in the shops are too see-through, I think electric blue would be a bit much for work (and haven't seen any in the shops anyway, because it's 2019's (?) colour) and black feels wrong. It's too flimsy to tuck a white cotton shirt into.

Any ideas?

I'm a dumpy size 12 with small breasts for added guidance, and I don't really do V necks. Not polyester if at all possible, but I'm fine with viscose/tencel/modal etc.

Having checked, it's ivory not bright white.

Oh that's nice niftythrifter. I'm not blouse-minded so it wouldn't occur to me as an option. The white vs ivory issue is a problem though.

To my office I'd wear the tshirt you have with a jacket over (white, ivory or a contrast colour).

Would something pale blue open up options for you?

I think y&y could go with a pink or Green top too.

Thanks all - lots of ideas I wouldn't have thought of. Annoyingly the shirred blouse is completely sold out in my size.

I do have some pale blue and navy and green though so I'll dig through my wardrobe with a more open mind.

I'd wear it with a fitted white top. Or a looser white top tucked in. But I'd keep it simple - no buttons or frills or broderie details. But that's just my personal taste. I'm quite a conservative dresser. I'd want to keep the skirt as the main focus with a simple top.

Oh no, hope I didn't cause a run on them posting it on here!
