Black dress for funeral

Sadly our dad passed away and funeral is next week. I really don’t have any time to go shopping so would really appreciate any links to nice black dresses.

I spotted this dress from Scamp and Dude but not sure about the material. Anyone have it and like it? Is it flattering?

I am a size 16, fairly tall with long limbs, but my stomach tends to bloat quite large due to bowel issue. Just want to avoid something showing all lumps and bumps!

I think if that dress would suit you I think it is nice. I am assuming the funeral will be all black and so I think this is entirely appropriate

when I was shopping for a funeral at the weekend. I ended up wearing a dress I already had but I was in the minority wearing just black.

Sorry for your loss. Black at funerals is becoming less compulsory. At the last 2 funerals I was at, for one the deceased had left instructions for bright colours and at the other the family requested bright colours. You will know your family better.

If you think black is the way to go, the M&S dress is the neater, nicer, smarter and cheaper of the 2.

Sorry, the Scamp & Dude was your choice, didn't mean to be critical of it but if you're unsure about it the M&S is probably the better, easier to wear choice. Or this linen one?

Sorry for your loss. I have a few scamp and dude dresses they are both flattering and comfortable. But honestly I would just wear the navy dress, you know you feel comfortable in it which is most important and navy is absolutely an appropriate colour for a funeral these days.
