Can I wear this for my wedding

I'll be getting married next year - in my 40s, second marriage, very small wedding. Do not want to wear white as just feels inappropriate. My two teenagers will be there!
Looking at this dress in dark green or silver grey. Would this look like a bride but not too bridal? I won't have bridesmaids. I am approx. size 10 5'7 with no boobs to speak of if that helps.
Venue is very vintage (small period property).

Yes I'd go for the silver for more bridal-but-not-too-bridal, it's gorgeous. Is the bolero removable? It's lovely too, but Id prob only wear that bit if it's not a summer wedding.

HundredMilesAnHour · 24/07/2023 11:20

Yes, I think that looks lovely in the grey and very appropriate. Less keen on the 'green' which looks a bit costume-y and cheap.

Lotustiger · 24/07/2023 11:22

Love it (silver)

MissedItByThisMuch · 24/07/2023 11:22

Just to be different - I love it in the green and find the grey nice but a bit wishy washy.

PegasusReturns · 24/07/2023 11:22

Absolutely!

prefer silver as the skirt looks looser which i prefer but it may just be photographs. Generally I love that shade of green

MissBattleaxe · 24/07/2023 11:23

Absolutely beautiful! The grey is more bridal I suppose but I adore that shade of green. It's glamorous and vintage-y and just gorgeous!

Motheranddaughtertotwo · 24/07/2023 11:25

I love the silver! I’m not keen on the Green one.

Lavender1974 · 24/07/2023 11:25

Both absolutely gorgeous!

Easyontheeyes · 24/07/2023 11:26

Gorgeous, both of them!

AnotherDayAnotherUsernameForMeAgain · 24/07/2023 11:28

Beautiful!

PictureConsequences · 24/07/2023 11:29

Wowzers, gorgeous! I prefer the green but would go silver for your wedding.

TheFutureIs · 24/07/2023 11:32

You can wear whatever you like...... it's your day! Both are absolutely stunning, and everyone will know you're the bride. Think I prefer silver but it will depend on your skin tone.

Hannahsbananas · 24/07/2023 11:32

The silver one.

madeinmanc · 24/07/2023 11:36

You can wear white if you want, absolutely no reason why not!

NancyIris · 24/07/2023 11:36

Thanks all! Quite fair/freckly with blonde-ish hair. The silver was my first thought but worried it might look too white.

Both are gorgeous! I prefer the green as it's more striking but you will look stunning in either.

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 24/07/2023 11:40

With the sound of your colouring, the green would look nicer. And more use out of it again in future.

Lovely.

mondaytosunday · 24/07/2023 11:40

Silver. Very glamorous!

midsomermurderess · 24/07/2023 11:42

I prefer the green and it sounds as if it would suit your colouring. It's very striking and elegant. The silver is a bit insipid.

Itsvalentino · 24/07/2023 11:43

Stunning dress, I think the green will go better with your colouring

ShanghaiDiva · 24/07/2023 11:52

Gorgeous! I prefer the green.

HideTheCroissants · 24/07/2023 11:55

Definitely go with the grey. It is a gorgeous dress! Perfect for a wedding where yo don’t want to wear white.

Sammysquiz · 24/07/2023 11:55

Beautiful dress. I’d buy it in both colours and then return the one you decide not to wear. I think it’s not until you see the colours in person you’ll know which is the best for you.

Heyhoherewegoagain · 24/07/2023 11:57

That’s beautiful! Whichever one would suit your colouring most would be best, the green feels more wintery (I got married in bottle green velvet at Christmas time so may be biased!)

caringcarer · 24/07/2023 11:57

The silver would look stunning as a wedding gown and you could dye it to use after if you wanted. My sister dyed a similar wedding dress from ivory to navy and she worn it several times to an evening do.
